Three Body Problem

This digital composition presents three distinct fragments of sandstone rock from Lady Bay in Clevedon arranged against a muted taupe background. The rocks exhibit a striking contrast between their rough, granular exteriors and smoother, pale inner layers exposed by natural fracture. Their elongated, pointed forms and layered textures reflect the sedimentary origins and centuries of wave and tidal erosion typical of this coastal environment. Subtle hints of ochre and rust tones emerge amid the grey and beige, revealing the rich geological history embedded within each piece. Together, they conjure an echo of the bay’s ancient marine past and its ever-shifting tides.
